IAN BERRY COLLABORATES WITH HENRY WONG

Baring in mind the context of showing in a museum that looks too at the Textile history and materials Ian Berry wanted to create a large denim jacket that would act as a canvas for many ‘large’ denim made band badges that were both pinned, and sewn, with large thread into it. It is to represent music’s connection with denim and why it has became so big, and ‘POPular’, perhaps.. too big?

Henry Wong

Ian Berry and Henry Wong have been friends for many years

As Artistic Fabric & Garment Industries director, product development and marketing for North America, Wong oversees the ins and outs of the Pakistan-based company’s U.S. denim business. But it’s his enthusiasm for denim’s heritage, coupled with his very matter-of-fact attitude toward its future—particularly when it comes down to sustainability—that makes him a major asset.
